Hi all,

I recently purchased the ADC DAC Pi Zero but can't get the ADC chip to function. The DAC is working correctly but the ADC just returns 0 whenever trying to read from it. I'm testing it by connecting the input channel to 3.3v and reading in single-ended mode. At first I thought it must've been a software issue so I downloaded the Python demo from the AB Electronics GitHub but that also just returns 0. I'm starting to suspect that I have a bad chip. I tested the continuity of all the chip lines which seem to be in order. Does anyone have any advice?

Thanks,
Joe

Hi Joe

I'm sorry you are having problems with your ADC DAC Pi. If the DAC is working but the python demo is returning 0V for both ADC channels that does suggest that it is a fault with the ADC chip.

As there is a fault with the board I can send you a replacement if you wish. I have just sent you an email to assist with resolving the problem.
